1- How is your coursework concept rooted in and related to real media products? - We take inspiration from several real media products, such as Blair Witch Project and PT, as well as attempting to use realistic techniques found in cinema, such as continuous shooting and match on action cuts. 2- What key learning points have you taken from your prelim task? - The biggest learning point taken from the prelim task was the need for thorough preparation, as the process of shooting is much easier if all the shots are already planned out in advance. I also discovered that it is ideal to attach an external microphone, as the inbuilt mic tends to be lower quality, as well as picking up much of the camera operating sound. 3- What technical changes do you need between projects for success? - Using an external microphone and taking care to set up lighting in order for the shot to look as good as possible.
